ICAS TPS Assurance and Business Systems

This section of the Syllabus covers the various assurance processes as well as business risks, control environments and business systems, regulation and reporting an digital technology. On completing this course students are expected to be able to: Plan the audit of statutory financial statements in accordance with applicable standards, including audit evidence collection procedures, evaluate, in accordance with applicable standards and taking into consideration audit risk and the effectiveness of internal control procedures, findings from the planning and interim stages of the assurance engagements, evaluate in accordance with applicable standards and taking into consideration the results of substantive procedures and the impact of audit misstatements on the audit opinion, findings from the final stages of assurance engagements, advise on business risk and related governance and risk control frameworks, advise on design of business systems and controls to effectively manage risks affecting business and financial reporting processes.
